KAPUAS, inikalteng.com – The Governor of Central Kalimantan H Sugianto Sabran said he was optimistic that the Food Estate Program in Central Kalimantan would be successful. For that, he invited the people of Central Kalimantan to love the work of farmers as a noble job.
This was conveyed by Sugianto Sabran during a visit to the location of the Kuripan Water Gate, which is part of the Food Estate development area in Kapuas Regency, Sunday (7/3/2021).
As is well known, the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo through the relevant Ministries has entrusted the Province of Central Kalimantan to carry out the Food Estate development program as an area that is expected to become a new food barn outside Java Island. The location of the food storage area is in Pulang Pisau Regency and Kapuas Regency.
This Food Estate is a food development concept that is carried out in an integrated manner covering agriculture, plantations, and even animal husbandry in an area. This Food Estate is one of the 2020-2024 National Strategic Programs.
Regarding this, the Governor of Central Kalimantan asked the people of Central Kalimantan to optimistically welcome the Food Estate program. “We must unite, work together,” he added.
Sugianto Sabran explained, one of the advantages of the Food Estate, especially the open employment opportunities for Central Kalimantan children who have just finished their education. In addition, those who graduate from the School of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, can also work in the Food Estate.
The number one person in Bumi Tambun Bungai is very optimistic that the Food Estate program in Central Kalimantan will succeed. “As the governor, I am still optimistic that the Food Estate in Central Kalimantan will succeed. We must maintain the trust of the Central Government by making this Food Estate program a success,” said the Governor. (ki/red)
