Central Borneo Kagama Distributes PPE to the Health Service Center

PALANGKA RAYA – Alumni Family of the University of Gadjah Mada (Kagama) of Central Borneo, which is wrapped with the name of Kagama Central Borneo Cares, is engaged in social action channeling Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to several health service centers in fighting Covid-19.

Head of Central Borneo Kagama Dr Andrie Elia SE MSi, Tuesday (4/21/2020), said the PPE was collected from donations of alumni at Bumi Tambun Bungai, channeled specifically for medical personnel.

“Since the program was launched in March 2020 by the Central Kagama Management, assistance has been distributed to 45 hospitals and 33 Puskesmas throughout Indonesia,” he said.

Specifically in Central Borneo, assistance was provided in the form of PPE clothing, face protective plastic, and latex gloves. The assistance was distributed to UPR Clinic, Kayon Health Center, Jekan Raya Health Center, Menteng Health Center, and Siloam Hospital.

“The distribution was led directly by the Central Borneo Secretary of Kagama Esau A Tambang along with a number of administrators. At the very least, the assistance provided is a form of our concern to the medical staff serving and caring for Covid-19 patients,” said the Rector of Palangka Raya University (UPR).

He hopes that the medical staff will maintain health. To the community, it is suggested to continue to follow the government’s instructions to break the chain of distribution of Covid-19.

“Greetings to medical staff and the entire community of Central Borneo. I also encourage all parties, to care about helping the government deal with the impact of Covid-19,” said Andrie Elia. (il)
